One of the things I enjoy about cycling is the men; the ones who ask me to carry them to Ketu or some far away bus-stop I couldn’t possibly cycle to, the ones who shout small small o’, the ones who ask me to deliver to the last bus-stop the heavy items they are carrying.
Some others are the passengers of big trucks who wave at me and okada men who also wave at me.
Another group is elderly men on the side of the road who say, ‘Be careful’ and others who say, ‘Watch well well o’ as I cross the road on the bike.
Sometimes some men ask me when I will teach how to cycle and we would laugh as I cycle past.
